Have you ever wanted to do a project, but not start the project until you have everything planned out perfectly and then get Analysis Paralysis so nothing ever gets done?
Yeeeaaahhhhh... I didn't want to start working on the Website until I knew what I actually wanted to offer. I STILL don't know exactly what I want to offer as my services moving forward, but I finally said enough is enough and updated it to something simple for now.
Because, as many of you have noticed and commented on... My projects and embedded social media feeds were outdated or not working properly ^^;;;
It will probably stay with the basics for a bit: Home page listing Current Projects and Blog Posts, and my art Portfolio. I've started job searching for a Remote Position to pay the bills, so I may add other stuff to it in the near future, but for now:
Yes, sadly, Myriai and I decided to cancel Kitakaze no Yakusoku//Promise of the North Wind. My mental health was unstable for a while and I was having trouble keeping up with the weekly page demand on top of family responsibilities, and I let my insecurities get the better of me, and thought it for the best. I don't know if we will ever continue it.
In the same vein, KawaiiHaunts! has been marked as Completed! It was honestly for similar reasons, but also, 250 episodes felt like a really good stopping point. I haven't stopped doodling the characters, I just haven't been using them to publicly comment about my life.
The previous "Coming Soon" project fell through. That is all I'm allowed to say about it because of NDAs.
Social Media! Yeah... I don't have any that I really keep up on currently, other than a couple private Discord servers. I've been debating on starting Twitch and/or YouTube up, but I haven't made a final decision either way yet. I technically have a Bluesky account, but it has seen about as much content as the rest of them recently. I just... Don't like the politics surrounding it currently.
Re-Stop!!! I'm really excited for this one! 3PleaAtv is an individual that I met through the Starlost Seas fanbase, and I've been happily supporting/mentoring their journey into a writing career by helping to edit their Starlost Superhero AU Fanfic for AO3. When he asked me to play a game he made up over Discord, I was interested, so I said yes... And then y'all, it kind of became my AuDHD obsession for a bit ^^;;; The character growth, the stark difference between my playtest and his friend's playtest based on our choices, the amount of LORE that I have been giddily eating up!! I asked if he intended to make it into a game for the public, and he said he would like to, and I've been assisting with art assets and suggesting possible code fixes his friends and he can do in order to get Twine to do what they want it to. It's slow, as the group is full of older teens/young adults with educational responsibilities, but I'm proud of what they've accomplished so far! No release date yet, as they're still learning the system, but stay tuned!
Blogs: they haven't been a high priority of mine, as at the beginning I had a larger social media presense and the X take over of Twitter hadn't happened yet. However, with the loss of interest in most of the social media sites, I want to do at least a monthly Blog Post to keep you guys updated, and maybe share some of the party ideas and assets I use/d for my kiddos, as I've been told they're quite unique.
Commissions: If you would really like a commission from me, I'm open to do so. However, my energy is mostly being put towards job hunting currently, as the applications I've done so far have ranged from 40 minutes to 6 hours to complete, depending on the position and what sort of assessments they have attached to it.
That's it for now! Next month starts my party prep for my husband, who's turning 40 on April 4th, and my oldest who's turning 13 on April 7th. So possibly some fun blog posts from that! Stay tuned ^^
